Our Firm
Since 1967, attorneys in Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, Portsmouth, Suffolk and all of Virginia have come to trust the professional and courteous treatment they have received from Zahn Court Reporting.
Our Staff
With 150+ years of combined court reporting experience, Zahn Court Reporting has established a reliable network of competent, friendly and reliable court reporters.
We have acquired reporting experience in many facets of the law and thrive on the challenge of difficult court reporting assignments.
Our Court Reporting Staff Makes Us Special
Knowing our treating physicians are board certified gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling. It is comforting to know that their competence has been proven and it gives us peace of mind to know that they must fulfill continuing education requirements to remain current. The same can be said for court reporters.
At Zahn, we require all of our court reporters to attain national certification through the National Court Reporters Association (at a minimum, the Registered Professional Reporter designation). This certification verifies that a court reporter is capable of court reporting up to 225 words per minute with 95 percent accuracy; has a general knowledge of the legal environment; and has the technical skills to accurately transcribe what they have reported. Certification gives us that warm and fuzzy feeling of confidence in our court reporters and allows us to focus our energies on you – our clients – and ensure that we exceed your expectations.
When lives and liberties are on the line, the competency of the court reporter creating the record is critical.
Innovation & Dedication
Litigators understand that not all transcripts are of equal quality. Zahn Court Reporting recognizes each and every case is dependent on the accuracy of the record, and we strive to employ only the most skilled and professional court reporters. Whether you need the transcript in real time or regular delivery, we deliver. Transcripts are on time every time, and working within your time restraints is what we do best.
We have extensive experience reporting patent, medical malpractice, maritime, asbestos, and personal injury cases on the civil side, while covering Grand Jury sessions in the United States District Courts in Norfolk and Newport News and currently cover four criminal courts at the Circuit Court level on the criminal side. Headquartered in Norfolk, Virginia, our court reporters have handled assignments from Norfolk to Richmond, Virginia; however, client referrals have led to our covering assignments in the countries of England, France, Germany, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Greece, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Lichtenstein, Cyprus, Turkey, Israel, South Africa, Switzerland, Scotland, Taiwan, Slovenia, and the Ukraine.
While leading the pack on the technological side of court reporting, Zahn Court Reporting recognizes that the lifeblood of a good business is the people behind the technology. We aim to balance our state-of-the-art technology with good old-fashioned customer service because your satisfaction and repeat business is our main objective.
